And I forgot to say I would have thought Othello would be a darker color, but then w/ all the tragedies, it's hard to say where you'd move him b/c then you'd have all dark colors. Ah, it's a good thing I'm not an artist. :-)
I think it's a marvelous palette! I think the progression of colors works really well. My only query is the color for Othello. Is it supposed to be blood-like? I tend to think that Othello is the real villain of the play. In my past life, I was a professor, and Othello was just so *un*interesting to teach: Jealousy, blah, blah, blah. Be careful who to trust, blah, blah, blah. Never fight a land war in Asia (oh wait, that was "The Princess Bride"). To me the only remotely interesting issue in _Othello_ is the director's decision: How much of the guilt do you pin on Othello and how much on Iago and who do you cast to emphasize that. In Orson Welle's "Othello," the actor who plays Iago is utterly boring and colorless; ALL the focus is on Orson Welles, not surprisingly. Me (like Mr. Welles), I think it's all Othello's fault. Othello: Bring me proof, damn it! I *want* some proof! I really, really want some tangible proof! Iago: (thinking) *This is going to be sooooo easy, like shooting fish in a barrel. I was hoping for more of a challenge.* (aloud) Okey-dokey, Sir. Can do. Just give me a couple days . . . (to the audience) *to manufacture it*. Othello: I knew I could rely on you, old buddy. Because, you know, I really want some PROOF. Oh, and while you're at it, could you pick up my dry cleaning?
Sorry about the OT blathering. I really like the palette!
