Bride Maid's Bane

My mother had a bridesmaid dress hanging in her closet when I was a kid. I will never forget it. It was dark pumkin orange polyester, and had a shawl that went over the shoulders. This had white squares on it with green leaves and yellow flowers . It was from her sister's wedding. My mom always wished that she'd had a full wedding with bridemaids and all. I think that she was one of the lucky ones to have a simple ceremony in the 70s. If we had another dress in our closet, say, in seafoam green polyester, I think that I would be a lot more traumatized.
