I listen to good meaningful songs (not sad, not happy). Recently I have been listening to this wonderful british radio comedy (Cabin pressure) and it cheers me right up
Write or read. If there is anything I am good at writing, it is tragedy, and sometimes I cultivate my blue moods in order to write difficult emotional scenes. As for reading, I usually read a horror mystery, usually Stephen King's, and it makes me feel so much better knowing that, I cannot possibly have it as worse as he puts his characters through LOL.
I sing. When I am sad or worried or unhappy, I sing. I have always had a talent for it and it relaxes me.
I take out old pictures of all the good times I've had with my family and friends. They always cheer me up.
And this is the most important and used one. I talk to my mom, at length, she is a brilliant conversationalist and has an amazing outlook towards life and is just so strong. When I put my head in her lap, it feels like I am recharging my battery to go fight my battles anew. And when I am blue just for the sake of being blue. I sit and watch a moviewith her and that cheers me right up because of her amazing sense of humour.
