The TV show you refer to was probably named after a movie. Watcher in the Woods was a scary Disney movie from the early 80's starring Bette Davis. It scared the crap out of me when I was a kid! I miss scary live-action Disney movies. Am I showing my age? ;)
Oh sorry. I don't watch tv--well except the food network and old shows on tv land.
