Oxford Comma

Dang I love Oxford commas. This is no exception.

I read too many books telling me in no uncertain terms to leave off the Oxford comma. I don't get it. It's always seemed more natural to use it; it lends a sentence more of a rhythm in keeping with the items listed. Apples, pause, oranges, pause, and bananas. Apples, pause, oranges and bananas sounds worse.

Definitely worthy of my favourite grammatical practice, even if that wasn't your original idea. I think it's a song, too...
