As a working mom, any time spent
at home with hubby and the kids is precious time indeed. That’s why I love
Sundays best. For me, a perfect day would mean spending quiet but quality time at home either watching some animation
videos with the kids or listening to favorite
music with hubby, catching up with each other. Lunch would be a nice family barbecue on the
backyard patio. I’d whip up homemade burger patties or marinade some lamb or chicken. Hubby would take care of the grilling. We’d just chuck the vegetables onto the grill too; eggplants, asparagus, mushroom, stuffed potatoes wrapped in foil…. Oh and nice cooled lychee drinks with the fruit in languid rest at the bottom of our glasses....
Lychee drink... anyone?
In the evening we’d take the kids to the playground while hubby and I knock shuttlecocks back and forth, playing badminton at the side. If he wins I’d argue that he had the wind to help him. When I win I’d just say that I play better than him…. We both love badminton, my husband and I. We make a pretty formidable team when playing doubles on Badminton Nights with friends, but I digress.
I know, my perfect day doesn’t sound too exciting. I just like them that way. But not all Sundays are exact replicates of each other. Sometimes we’d go out to do some family shopping, or take the kids to the Aquaria in town with its gigantic, room-height aquariums and water tunnels. Maybe have lunch or dinner at a favorite restaurant. I guess anything would be perfect for me on Sundays, as long as I could spend it with my family.
