Silly you, this group is supposed to be about getting to know one another better. For those, like you and I, who "live here," it seems silly not to share a bit of ourselves. I confess, I share more than a bit. But that's just me. You are you, and the only thing that matters is that you share yourself honestly and to the extent you're comfortable with. So much of the world's greatest art (in all forms) comes out of heavy hearts and troubled souls. Knowing you just a tad better now helps me appreciate your creations even more. I can better see "you" in them. And isn't that really what every artist longs for? To be seen? Now, let's get down and boogie! ;-)

Yes my apologies as I'm sure the group is supposed to be a life affirming and bonding experience and I am striking a more down beat note than most...honestly I do have many uplifting and hopeful (and dare I say it 'joyous') songs in my music collection - but with the best will in the world they don't reflect my personality or the way I feel as much as the snapshot of lyrics here - (so I guess the party's round my place folks! LOL!! ;-)

My hubby, a "closet" blues guitarist, introduced me to the genre. In the beginning, I didn't like it, thought it was too negative.
