Bossa Nova- I love the bossa nova music of the early 60's. The stuff that came after is nice as well but nothing compares to the Astrud Gilberto/Stan Getz era in bossa nova.
Asian Horror - Horror films and novels from Asian have a remarkably different feel to them than the horror of the Western world. A lot of the horror from the East is supernatural, dealing with vengeful ghosts, spirits, and demons of ancient folklore. With a few exceptions (anyone up for a Takashi Miike film? :P), the gore is minimal. The chill factor depends on atmosphere and aspects which we cannot see. Getting to see the scenery of different Asian countries is also a plus! Because of this, Asian horror is definitely one of my top 5 favorite horror subgenres. <3 The best Asian horror film I've seen is A Tale of Two Sisters, an awesome psychological/supernatural horror film from right here in Korea. Watch it. It's amazing!
Mei's Real Hair- Shh..Don't tell anyone but I dye my hair black. Both of my parents have hair as dark as night and I ended up with chestnut hair. Thanks, German genes!
Revlon Red - My favorite lip color by my favorite cosmetic brand. ^_^
Lavender - My favorite flower. The aroma brings back many memories from my youth. I especially love lavender teas.

I so agree with the film part...like the American "The Ring" vs Japanese "Ringu" ?? not even comparable. And the Japanese version only used sounds, it was 10 times scarier. I can still freak my husband out by making that weird clicking sound in the back of my throat. ......such a baby....
beautiful palette =)

I've got 'Where is my Mind' by the Pixies as my ringtone :-)

Another confession: Girl from Ipanema is my ringtone. xD

I love the Bossa Nova, it is like cool latin jazz, have never watched an asian horror film, don't really do the american version because I don't do gore well, but I will chick it out.

Wha?! What is it about Bossa Nova that you don't like? :O I know that in the US, Bossa isn't taken seriously. People often associate it with the cheesy lounge culture of the late 50s and early 60s as well as elevator music. Napoleon Dynamite's predominately watered-down bossa nova soundtrack didn't help much.
I must confess, though, that I do like elevator music.

A friend once bought me 'The Girl from Ipanema' for a laugh as they knew I'd blow a gasket LOL! (I still have it somewhere - maybe I could use it as a coaster) ;-)

But I'm sure you'd detest my music collection and hey...each to their own right?!

Astrud Gilberto/Stan Getz era in bossa nova.

I used to watch a lot of Asian Cinema too, but mainly martial arts and Wuxia etc... rather than horror

Try watch Nang Nak, a Thai horror movie. I actually felt deep compassion for the ghost/spirit :)

Hey - I have that on DVD, very different feel to Japanese horror and a weird bit with a spider on the wall but very enjoyable.

OMG, I love A Tale Of Two Sisters! My father rented it by mistake - what was written behind the DVD was quite vague about the content - and wasn't very happy to discover it was a horror, but me and my sister found it really engaging. The funny thing is, we usually don't like horror fiction :D

MissGibbon

eeee I can't watch horror. The scariest I ever got was The Village, which I'm told doesn't even count. :P
