Reminds me of, "One Step Backward Taken", one of my mother's favorite Carl Sandburg poems. I copied it out below in case you haven't memorized it like she has... ;)-dawnNot only sands and gravelsWere once more on their travels,But gulping muddy gallonsGreat boulders off their balanceBumped heads together dullyAnd started down the gully.Whole capes caked off in slices.I felt my standpoint shakenIn the universal crisis.But with one step backward takenI saved myself from going.A world torn loose went by me.Then the rain stopped and the blowing,And the sun came out to dry me.
