Well...to be honest, I never found Neil Young to be "harmonious." His voice just doesn't appeal to my ears (though I do like a couple of his songs—Old Man, Ohio, Philadelphia). As for the others, I like them, too, especially Santana. We had our neighbors over last night to check out our new music setup, and one of the first songs played was Europa. It's not my favorite (not sure I could really pick one), but it was a good kickoff. I have "osmosis songs," too. But at my age, we're talking about songs from the first half of the 1900s!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!! Whom else do you like? Like who's your favorite soloists? On the girls' side, I'm a big fan of Stevie Nicks, Carly Simon, Alanis Morissette, Bonnie Raitt, Judy Collins, and some songstresses you've probably never heard of—such as, Spanky McFarland (of Spanky and Our Gang) and Lauren Wood. Of course, it's next to impossible to name all one's loves.
Well...when I say my husband is a "closet" guitarist, I really mean it. He doesn't even play for me. Main reason, however, is he's not a melody, or lead, guitarist. He's the one who plays all the rifs and does all the jamming in the middle of the song!! And he is sooooo good at that. I can't honestly say that I love the sounds when they're exploding through the house, but I do admire his talent enormously. Actually, I admire him enormously.
Will be spending time with my 8-year-old granddaughter today. We get to be with her every other Saturday. She's the light of my life.
So good to talk again. Such fun and much love ♥♥♥

But, you're so right. There's a lot that our palettes can't capture, but I guess one of the purposes of art is to let us attempt to express the inexpressible. So I guess all we can do is keep trying -- and hopefully create something beautiful in the process : )
I hope your day was as lovely as your morning! Bourbon time? ; )
