I agree smoke stinks, but I live on a planet of smokers...

PALETTE IS FAB.
COLOR IS STUNNING.
SMOKE? TOO BAD,GIRLS.
and once upon a time, i was a great smoking girl.
but some day i decided to stop. and i simply....stop.about 6 or 7 years ago....and now, i don´t like the smell...and have to think everytime how bad my hair and clothes smells.
so,stop smoking!
parfums smells better!

ycc2106

I've quit sometimes - but only because I was around non smokers.
Smoking is like vaccination against the smell - If everybody is smoking around you, I find it easier to smoke myself.

Waaay to go! Nicotine is one of the most addictive drug I do believe. I pass on the message and plant the seeds. I am happy you came through and passed the test.

Yea, I could add on another year there for me, because there were cravings and, yea, I couldn't beat myself up for having a puff or two, it did no good to feel bad about it, I knew one day it would not be a struggle. :D

I quit after smoking for more than 20 years ..... I waited until I was really ill with flu and didn't feek like smoking as I knew they taste really horrible right after being ill - then I just stopped.
I lit up one after and put it out after three puffs and never smoked again....

I read somewhere that cravings only last three minutes so I just kept telling myself that I only had to hold on for three minutes.

For years I dreamt that I 'd find a lit cigarette in my hand and feel bad thinking I'd started smoking again...only took three or four years to stop thinking about lighting up!!

It was difficult!!! It took me two years. It is a real mental feat. The first part is "Wanting to stop", not "needing to". The second part was always thinking about the pros and cons of smoking - (there really are no "pros") - I would tell myself a pack of cigs could put a couple of gallons of gas in my car, my clothes won't smell, I could get supper for two with the price of a pack of cigs... and I will breath much better!

So I weened myself off of them. No patches, no medication. Now NO temptations.
