lavander grey mixed in the concrete ..ok sounds like i like very much the idea need to try in practice
never i said blue outside can be lovely i think you 're right when you say about the struggle with the sky(if i got your point) and i agree there is no need to avoid uglyness if it's interesting, but still you probably understand uglyness better than i do. for instance i did'nt understand herzog and the meuron blue concrete building in barcelona

i think you are too diplomatic about the blues outside || of course they can be lovely when the light is accordingly || however | every day the light is not in their favor and then they are ugly || i love ugly would love it | they are so ugly ||

i agree with blue on outside can be ugly , love the lavender grey outside, not so sure for the interior , i might prefer using lilac on some walls and white (sorry) to contrast with the great red of the floor i would love very glossy ..
beautiful ceiling in sunny soft concentric pattern..and the caribbean add color for all the ceramic and glass / eat and drink..
