All three entrees were excellent. The presentation of the dishes was pretty and the foodstuff tasted as good as it appeared. The duck was tender, damp, and very flavorful. It was followed by fresh steamed greens that were cooked perfectly, and wild rice that contained dried cranberries and nuts. The smoked quail was, according to my partner, cooked to perfection. H-e really loved it. It was accompanied by the exact same wild rice as the duck and a crepe full of a cranberry sauce, which he thought was delicious as well. For dessert we split up two selections; a pumpkin mousse torte and the crme brulee. The pumpkin mousse torte had a really gentle pumpkin quality and was served with a caramel sauce and fresh whipped cream. The crme brulee was flamed at the table with Grand Marnier. The combination of creamy vanilla custard, crunchy caramelized topping, and Grand Marnier was delicious. Even though the Inn at Kristofers isn't a cheap restaurant, it is a wonderful place to go for an unique meal whether its for someones birthday, wedding, or just to take care of yourself.
