Hello everyone, my name is Cheri and I'm an 18 year old female. I currently attend McMaster University located in Hamilton, Ontario, and I'm studying Commerce. I hate everything about my school and my program and I really want to change my situation but I'm much too apprehensive to do so. I have recently rekindled my love for graphics designing which is why I've signed up for this great site.

I began graphics designing when I played Neopets. I was either 10 or 11 years old. Needless to say, I am very glad that I registered for that site. I dabbled for probably about 2-3 years until I quit playing that game (Neopets), which really gave me no reason to continue with graphics designing. The fact that I wasn't that skilled either is probably a reason for me not continuing.

I was looking through my photobucket account and it's actually funny how bad some of my designs were (although I thought they were superb). Another reason why I thought they were good is because I used to design with a 9 year old monitor that suffered through many magnets coming in close encounters with it. Needless to say, the colours and etc were not at all similar to how I designed them which resulted in them being... ugly. =]

Anyways... some of my aspirations in life? I would like to actually be a graphics designer (as my job) but I know there are much more qualified people out there who actually have an education in the art. Other than that... my DREAM is to race cars... F1, stock, I don't care. I love driving. And I would like to gamble professionally. There is no greater thrill than taking a risk.

I love to contribute to websites. I enjoy being respected and it brings me great satisfaction when other people enjoy my contributions. I think it is important to always submit QUALITY material - and with that being said, you can be sure that all of my submissions will try to be usable, have a purpose, follow a theme, or will demonstrate what can be done with an idea/theme (such as the Rough Collie palette).

As a general rule of thumb, you probably won't see me submitting a colour scheme that I don't think I'd be able to use. For example: although I can appreciate the beauty of neon (I have a neon pink and neon green bedroom at home), you probably won't see any contributions from me that consist of ALL neon colours. I simply just don't know how to work with all neon. This probably hinders some possible future contributions, but that's just how my brain ticks xD.

With that being said, I am always looking for ways to improve myself and my work. If you think that changing a certain aspect of one of my works will make it better, please show me! I am not afraid of criticism. I also appreciate all things beautiful, so if you can show me a way to make it more beautiful, then go right on ahead!

If you draw upon my palettes for inspiration and create something, please allow me to see it! I love seeing other people's creativity and talent, and even more so when I have contributed ;)

p.s. Neon was just an example. ;o I'm sure there are other combinations that I can't work with that aren't coming to mind right now.
