With me and this site, it was love at first sight! Colours are my drug and my religion, in a happy sense. Making and naming colours is wonderful, you get to combine two pleasant things. Fiddling with palettes and patterns works as soothing therapy for the eyes and the soul, and it doesn't cost a dime!
Although I've always been this way inclined, this site has sharpened my perception of colours a lot. Observing the environment has become an active event. I find a lot of inspiration in nature and I like (trying) to mimic its brilliance.
To me colours represent thoughts, words, ideas, shapes, tastes, sounds and states of mind. Put together in a palette, they make up poetic little universes with their own moods and weathers. They change from one moment to the next Loving a palette for one minute, hating it the next, or the other way around. Colours don't mind. The love never dies...
My long-lasting favourites are smoke blue, lime, terracotta and rust. I've grown fond of pink recently, too. Purple has its moments. Put together with black, you've got yourself a palette! The funny thing is, that even though I might love a palette, it doesn't necessarily mean I'd ever want to wear it!
