Even though I haven't been here long, I'm finding this is a great resource in helping me with some of my designs for clients. Making a palette here will let me visualize whether certain colors really do work together (or if my clients are crazy -- have to say that is sometimes the case, unfortunately), but more importantly, COLOURlovers is helping me find different color combinations that I ordinarily might not have thought of on my own.

I tend to favor palettes on two extremes: bright, bold and saturated; or subtle and analagous. I'm a big fan of split complementary schemes, and schemes that have an 'odd one out' among the colors included.
