James Elmore founded Canopy Gallery in 2009 to feature his artwork and promote the works of other contemporary artists via social media. His digital artwork is now available for sale at CANOPY GALLERY as stretched canvas prints and affordable posters. His images also adorn home goods such as stationery, pillows, towels, accessories, and laptop cases. Half the profits from these sales benefit CASA MARIA.
“Casa Maria offers assistance to the needy in Tucson and is a Catholic charity that came out of the “Catholics for Peace and Justice” Movement workers in Tucson in the 1980s. Casa Maria is supported by several churches of other denominations, synagogues and other Tucson organizations as well. In the Santa Rita neighborhood in South Tucson, the Casa Maria kitchen feeds up to 1,500 people a day that live in the neighborhood or are homeless. The Casa Maria Organization also provides hot showers, personal toiletries , legal services and has a Medical Mobile Clinic, Job Assistance for Women and a Vaccine Program for pets but their biggest service to the needy in Tucson is through their Free Soup Kitchen.” ~Cate Starr
