It was in the 70s when I realized what a difference color could make: I amazed myself by making the ugly cobalt blue carpet in my bedroom more livable by having orange accents (inspired by a basketball of all things!) My friends and I went crazy with a purple and green themed birthday party and I couldn't believe how well it "worked." My love of color finds its way in the nooks and crannies of my life. In my twenties, I dreamed of a career in naming eye shadow palettes ("Bumble Bee Smash" being one of my claims to fame). After a career as a suit in an ad agency and graphic design company in Chicago, my love of palettes continued. Now I dabble and experiment with color with home painting, decorating, garden planning and office organization. Surrounding by mountains and rivers and trees in Central Oregon, I still challenge myself to come up with a perfect name for the colors I see.
