WITH THE TIDE

It's the sea swell it's the sea smell
it's the water washing me
it's the ember sun on flesh
it's the swelling waters crashing
in that smell that smells so fresh
of the dark-skinned girl who's passing
swaying in her ondulations
in the sultry rising heat.

In your eyes there swims a sea
of desire hunting me;
I turn into a beast, all brazen,
hardened, rising to occasion.
A sharp and poisoned arrow hums
from hunter to the hunter's prey,
my time is here, my moment's come,
if I must die, now let it be
from passion not from agony.
