Well, my name is Nathan. T. Dean and I rather like to play around with colour, or rather I have recently discovered that I like to. I never thought I would enjoy discovering a new shade of burgundy, especially as before I uncovered this little jewel of a website I thought the dulux colour charts pretentious for having a shade of pink called Salmon.
And there I am. All hypocrisy incarnate, naming a shade of blue Cobalt Ichor and attaching an even more pretentious poem/story to it for the purposes of understanding that tone, shade and hue.
Oh, oh, oh. Now I'm mixing them together and being all artsy. Ooh look. I can make stories and things.
But I have to stop. Because I was wrong. It wasn't pretentious. I thought it was. I think it may be more so when all you're doing is finding a shade of beige, but for the designer and artist in me, to uncover the emotions and ideologies behind colour - and how mixing them and layering them can uncover even stranger ideas - ... but for the artist, it is imperative. To know that 'Cobalt Ichor' represents a lonely god, or that Thick Wine is the mistake of worrying about ones mistakes... now I can flourish in design and painting. I think. I hope.
Anyway, I also have some rather nifty places for people to go see. My tumblration of links that is also my Website URL should amuse you, in one form or another.
