I feel so lucky to have found ColourLovers and want to say Thank You to All! This site has enriched my life.

I'm so impressed & amazed by the talent here. Colours are everywhere and all of us are Artists. We express this in the clothes we choose, the colours in our homes, the dresses we can't pass up & the ties that otherwise get overlooked. Inspiration of self is everywhere, and if ever we feel disconnected all we need do is look around...the patterns of the upholstery & curtains, towels & how we redo our rooms with wood & tile. We admire the architecture of our cities and hometowns and bask in the beauty of our summer gardens.

Colour is everywhere, inside us & around us & is Universal. Regardless of labels, criticisms, beliefs or politics, colours enrich our lives and bind us together. We marvel at our expressions of ourselves and how our creations bring us joy, laughter & feelings of oneness. If only it was through Art & Colour, Craft & Sculpture through which we settled our differences, our world would be a more peaceful place, a more conscious & sacred space.

Thanks again for all the loves, faves & creations. I truly enjoy it here on so many levels!

Okay...I feel it's time for me to add some info about myself. There's a lot, so I'm going to include what comes to mind right now.

Personal:

I'm a proud single mom of a beautiful 9 year old girl.

I'm in 'middle age' so I am also caring for my elderly parents (my mom especially).

I have *almost* 3 different degrees from both a private college and a state run university. Two are related: psychology & philosophy BUT... what I really enjoy is studying environmental science.

Loves:

I LOVE art; I was lucky that my mom paid for art lessons when I was a child. I continued art through high school (4 yrs) and won awards from the Cleveland Institue of Art for my sculpture and jewelry. You can check out the Institute's website here: http://www.cia.edu/

I LOVE all kinds of people regardless of where they come from, what colour, what culture or where they call home.

Hobbies:

I also love Astrology. I taught myself from the age of 14. However, because of my current addiction to Art, Pinterest and ColourLovers I haven't been doing much of it lately. For others interested in astrology the best site on the web is http://www.astro.com

I'd like to thank ALL of the Amazing Colourlovers who are here. Your encouragement means so much! I'm still very new here and am currently learning to navigate Seamless Studio on my netbook. Love my netbook, but the blue/purple is a little off and I'm terrified of changing it.

Anyone who can give me pointers or links to pointers regarding this amazing site & Seamless Studio, please feel free to post them!

Also: I use ColourLovers as a kind of therapy. Not all my work will be amazing, and I may have more 'misses' than 'hits' but I'm perfectly okay with that.
