v4 makes me cranky. The white doesn't inspire me and space feels wasted. I don't like all the scrolling I have to do now, and buttons are placed awkwardly. I ask (politely, knowing that beggars can't be choosers) that we get v3 back or v5 already.
Hey, guys, I'm Alison!
In Short:
I'm a writer and a doodler. I'm not amazingly talented in either field, but the fun is in the journey. My current profile picture ("Go then, there are other worlds than these") is an image I made myself using a line from The Dark Tower book series.
I found this site through stumbleupon and I'm consistently amazed by all the beautiful designs I see here.
I make most of my palettes off of
characters that I have made up for stories I have written. Other palettes reflect
moments from those stories that I intend to draw. I find that colors set the mood of my tales... and in many ways the organization of the colors paints a complete and detailed picture for me in my head.
When I add a palette to my favorites, it means that I've seen a story in it.
More Detail: In honestly, I'm a fighter more often than I'm a lover- I do sometimes have a nasty temper. Otherwise, I can be a pretty happy camper. I like whimsical things (I even like the word
whimsical) and I consider eccentricity to be a godly trait. The things that impress me most are the things that other people seem to consider mundane or even stupid.
I have gone by the name "Trivia Master" because I have a sponge-like tendency to remember useless things.
I have phobias of cellophane and shopping carts. I can't really defend either of those fears, but I can recognize that they are unreasonable things to be wary of.
I'm also quite good at monopoly. Just ask Arachnakid (also look at her palettes) because I totally creamed her and her sister the other day in it.
Arachnakid is one of my many BFFs IRL, BTW.
Made for me by awesome folks:
