Interior Design Trends: Emerald
Emerald is a rich, deep and enchanting. I feel like this shade of green is seen a lot during winter time, but of course it is just as great anytime of year. Here in New Jersey it has been scorching for most of the summer and rounding up items in the emerald family has been quiet refreshing, since it reminds me so much of winter and coolness. Does emerald remind you of winter as well?

Interior Design Trends: Deep Orange
This summer has been a rough one as far as heat and humidity go. Not something that is very pleasant, which is why I am so ready for fall, and the amazing colors associated with this time of year. Deep oranges are some of the fall colors that seem to always pop up in my head when I think of the season, and there are so many great decor choices this hue to help bring in that great crisp welcoming feeling into your home. What are your thoughts on deep orange?

Taking it Outside: Outfit Your Outdoors DIY
I love cool, creative outdoor spaces. Today I happened uppon an article at somewhatsimple.com on making a non-weighted, no-fly-away tablecloth for an outdoor table. That's not the only good point about it; it's also plastic (but tasteful) so it's weather wearable, will protect metal or wood and definitely washable for easy cleanup.
So here it is! The No-Fly-Away Shower Curtain Tablecloth from blogger, This Present Life.

I really enjoyed reading how this cute number was born - pure spontaneity. Initially, she bought the table at Target for $34, but you could use anything you have, yard sale or craigslist, etc. Anything that will fit under a shower curtain! Yes, that's what I said, this is made of a shower curtain!
Interior Design Trends: Black & Silver
Black is such a mysterious color that a wide variety of words can describe. For me, it's always been beautiful (even though it has been described as not a color at all) and I have accumulated many items that are black.
Now, silver is another intriguing color, it is shiny and comes off as modern. It is fun and playful, and pared with black it seems polished, a brilliant unification, don't you think?

Interior Design Trends: Gold
There are those who love silver and those who love gold, as well as some who appreciate both. Well, this post right here is all about gold. At times gold can come off as feeling a bit extravagant, while at other times it is exactly what you need to add that perfect finishing touch.
While browsing around for gold decor you will find that there are some very tastefully done pieces that tempt you into feeling as though you just have to have it. Just have a look at some of the beautiful metallic examples. Do you love gold?

Interior Design Trends: Pink & Gold
Gold is such an elegant and grand color, while pink is dainty and glowing. Put the two together and you have got a pleasing medley. The two seem to be easy on the eyes (of course when done right) and compliment one another nicely. The decor items chosen have proven to be a good example of that.

Chocolate Treats
Not too long ago I was having a conversation about chocolate and realized that one either loves it or just simply finds it not to their liking at all. There are also those who crave chocolate on a constant basis. The color that we all identify chocolate with is brown. Rich and organic in appearance, brown is a beautiful color that stirs up a concoction of tasty treats in our head. What do you think?

Green Treats
Continuing on colorful treats, today's pick is focused on green. There are so many great green sweets around. Though it is not one of the desserts included in this roundup, mint chocolate chip shake is an absolute favorite of mine. Also, the green macaroon look so delicious and sadly, I have never ever had the pleasure of tasting an actual macaroon, but from what I hear they are pretty tasty. So, I hope that you enjoy this yummy collection of sweets and please feel free to share some of your favorite green treats.

Yellow Treats
Instead of touching on home decor today, delicious sweets will be the focus. To be exact, yellow treats. Who doesn't love to indulge in a tasty dessert every once in a while? Ever wonder how many yellow snacks exist? To be honest, there are actually a decent amount, something that has never crossed my mind until recently. Here, you will see a roundup of some yellow sweets. Do you have any favorite desserts that are yellow? You should share with us.

Color Spotlight: Black Attack
If you've ever picked up a shelter magazine, then you know that painting a room is the first step in any interior makeover. The Color Spotlight series will provide inspirational images, paint swatches, and palates to help anyone in a color conundrum select the perfect new hue for their space.
Black is the third color in the series and while you might argue that black is not actually a color, rather the lack of color, why don't you just humor me and go with it, m'kay? Thaaaanks. This go 'round, we'll let a true master walk us through the spectrum of black hues... Ralph Lauren has cornered the market on rich, classic tones and his paint lines offer more shades of black than you ever knew existed.
