A palette game to see how much variation is possible with common elements, words and a variation in sample size.

The idea is simple and fun, and the result of a silly remark on a Conversation in the Three Colors group.

Choose one of the palette size game groups in Conversations. Whichever palette is most recent, pick one of their colors, one of the title words and create a new palette using the same number of colors. For further details and guidelines see "Huh? Howzat?"

Details & Guidelines for Playing "Take One Color, Pass It Down"

This little game is the result of a silly conversation in the Three Color group. Instead of just making a conversation there just for Take One Color, I thought I'd make a whole group so everyone could play, not just the Three Color aficionados.

With the fun folks are having with the 2+2=5 game and the Story Challenges of the Fairy Tales & Other Stories group I thought we'd all welcome yet another avenue to play, experiment and test our creativity.

How to Play
1) Chose one of the palette size games in the Conversations area, such as Two's Company, Three's A Crowd, etc.

2) Whichever palette is most recent in th(i.e. at the bottom of the replies), choose one of their colors and create a new palette using that color. But be sure to use the same number of colors as the other palette as well. That way we can explore the variations possible with different color sample sizes.

3) BUT WAIT, there's more. Palettes have words as well, and they're often an integral part of the palette. So, in addition to taking one color and passing it down, you also must use one of the words from the other palette's title.

4) ALSO, If, during the course of making your palette, you make a new color then also use at least one word from one of the other palette's colors' names as well.
