What are love notes?

Love notes are either messages you receive or send in your inbox. They can be private messages sent by other lovers, announcements from the site owner or notifications you subscribed to.

How do I read and send love notes?

If you're logged in, a red message will come up at the top right corner of the site whenever you've received a love note. You can click over the red text and be linked directly to your inbox.
To send a lover a love note, go to their profile and click on 'Send Me a Love Note'.

Otherwise, to read or send love notes, you can go to your profile - http://www.colourlovers.com/lover/yourusername - and click on the 'Love Notes' tab.

What are the love notes I can automatically receive?

Announcements made by Darius/COLOURlover will be automatically sent to you. By default, you're also subscribed to all your palettes and colors meaning that you will receive notifications every time a lover comment on them. To unsubscribe from these two events, go to your own page - http://www.colourlovers.com/lover/yourusername - then clicking on Accounts and finally on My Subscriptions. You can also unsubscribe individually for one palette or one color by clicking on the 'Unsubscribe' link that is at the top of each palette/color page.

What are forums? How do I add a comment or start a new conversation?

Forums are areas where ColourLovers discuss all kinds of topics. You can find them at http://www.colourlovers.com/forums.

Hey! It almost looks like it could be working??? Why doesntn this work when I try it on comment??

I'm not sure what you are trying to do. Do you wish to insert a picture from another website in a comment?

If so, you can do it like this:
To insert an image from another web page into a comment:
Right click on the image you wish to insert. Choose "copy image location".
Then go to where you wish to write a comment. Click on that little blue picture icon above the comment area. Paste the "image location" you copied into the dialogue box that opens up. That should do it.
