It would be cool if a couple of these linked to blog articles - for example - how do hexidecimal values work - various things about colour theory - possibly some help with html. Better than pointing people to articles outside of ColourLovers?

@klip: I think this is the kind of information that can be mentioned twice. When talking about forums let's briefly mention these two sections then let's create another FAQ for contact/feedback/help where we'll mention them again but with more details - and possibly give direct URLs - and also add a bit about the 'contact' link which as the bottom of the site. Does that sound good to you?

I think a section on how to search is imperative. For those lovers (like me on a rare occasion) who also use the site for work, searching by Hex is such a valuable tool! So:

Not sure were this may go... or if it's already listed somewhere. But since I just made this mistake, thought I'd leave a note:

You can quickly find out if you've created an unnamed color if you don't enter a title for your palette. If your cursor is in the hex code box, simply hit the Enter key. Any colors without names will appear for you to name them.

Conversely, if you're not ready to enter a new palette, be careful not to name it because if you hit the Enter key, it will slip right in!

I'm coming back to say that this DOES NOT work like it used to. I've messed up a few palettes trying to see if I had a new color or not (the system went ahead and added them--one with just one color!).

I would not recommend this "hack" as reliable...

I don't really like any of the patterns currentlly on offer. Does anyone have any info on creating new pattern templates?

If anyone does could they start a new pattern thread.

I know what u mean...I tried to find out how to go about creating them as I have Fireworks and Flash. So, I sent an email...if you go to Patterns, create new, you will see where you can send your email to, if you have a new pattern...to ask the size requirements etc...but i never got an answer.
