Right now I have Inkscape, which I figured out how to get it to blur. BUT, I do have Illustrator as well and am willing to dig into that.

Hmm. I can only help with illustrator. I can tell you what the problem is - just not how to fix it in inkscape.

Your blurry shape probably uses some kind of style/multiple colours resulting in something called a compound shape, which is too complex for seamless to handle.

You will need to find some way to reduce and flatten the shape if you want it to import properly.

Most of the 'circular gradients' you see in seamless are actually many-rayed stars/polygons, which trick the eye into perceiving them as gradients.

Can you give me the illustrator settings for -saving- the .svg? There are so many options!

You can use 'less options,' for starters. :)

How do I get more shapes to make patterns out of?

At last! An answer to the burning question in the back of my head! Hope the creative market opens up soon, there's a lot of shapes I really want to use!

Newbie question. How can I download a pattern so I can open it in Photoshop to use as a pattern? I just want a single instance of the pattern but all I can see are options for downloading where it is already repeated.

Aspiring artist needing a little bit of help. How do I export my creations from inkscape to my profile? Do I need to buy the full version of Seamless studio? Or is there another way. Thank you to whoever will answer my question.

I create my patterns in seamless pro (which I purchased) and save them to colourlovers.com and also save them on my computer in different formats. I have not had any luck with Inkscape. I also own Corel Draw which I have had limited success in creating and exporting patterns. The trick is to export what ever you create. I found that you have to tweak the settings to get them to export however.

Hello, I've been using this website for a few months now and I love it. but... I have a question. I see other people's templates and they are so nice and beautiful and I wonder, is it possible for me to draw and the insert shapes and generally a pattern in order to create a template without using just the default shapes?
