I was just wondering what each person's favorite planet is and why? Does the colour have anything to do with your reason for liking it?

I've always had a thing for Neptune, with it's blue and white dreamscape. In a close second would be Pluto, but do they even consider that a planet anymore?

I read an article a while ago about how scientists had voted that Pluto is no longer a planet, but I've forgotten what they call it now... a "dwarf planet", maybe, but that's still a planet, isn't it? Hm, I'll have to look that up later..

OK, I know I'm a huge dork, but the difference is that Pluto doesn't "clear its neighborhood". That's really it, from what I can tell. Thanks, wikipedia!



I would have to say Saturn for its rings :)

i'm a sucker for mars, personally. of course, i'm sort of a ray bradbury fanatic. i'm totally new here but i'll create a mars palette as soon as i can get to a computer that's compatible.

My favorites are Saturn and Venus. Saturn for it's colors and rings; and Venus because I can find it in the sky (and because it's our "neighbor").
