No real purpose to this group other than to post some of my work (vector patterns), to store gifts and to organize some of my "collections" -- You are more than welcome to join in (especially with posting your original patterns) or to just browse.

These patterns are posted in my gallery on deviantART, but wanted to share them here. They are seamless, vector patterns created in Illustrator CS4. Some of them also contain the brushes I used to create them.
If you have created a pattern, whether or not it's been "published" to ColourLovers, please feel free to share it. There are many ColourLovers that have submitted patterns -- some published, some VERY delayed.
If you see something that you wish were published, I suggest you place a request to the site by sending an email to love@colourlovers.com.
If you don't have Illustrator, let me know and I will save any of these patterns in layered Photoshop format and send you the link.

I was VERY honored to have this pattern used as a border on the City and County of Honolulu Transportation Services website.

I, too, started making (seamless, tiled) patterns to learn Illustrator, but I was still at the beginner level. While my patterns don't come close to yours, Jill, I really feel I've made visible progress. So here they are from oldest to newest.

Have you looked into setting up an account on http://www.deviantart.com? That's where I started posting mine (using their free account). It was surprising how many downloads I had and that is where I was "discovered" by some of the vector art sites.

This pattern can be downloaded here and contains both the vector tile and layered Photoshop CS4.

@Highwireart, although I taught myself Photoshop (and there's still plenty I don't know there), I don't think I could have learned Illustrator without some training. I used Lynda.com, and their training has been excellent. I finished their course on Illustrator CS3, and now I've been working though AI CS4, and things are starting to click. I've recently upgraded to Photoshop CS4, and shortly will be taking their course in that. I can highly recommend it -- I see they do have courses in CorelDRAW.

@HWA -- I agree with GreenMyEyes -- there's a lot to learn with a vector program such as Illustrator. At one time I used Freehand since it was closer to the MCAD packages I had been using. One thing let to another and I've been converted to Illustrator. But it is a steep learning curve and can be VERY frustrating at times -- again, probably due to my background (I want exact measurements, lengths, placement, etc.).
