Palettes and colors inspired by places around the world, from your backyard to some place clear across the globe. Also join us for the Lx3 weekly challenge as we draw inspiration from cities, countries and places around the world to make some pretty darn awesome palettes and patterns. :) No passport required.

Here are the colour(s) you must use in your palette(s)/pattern(s):
and/or
You must use at least one of them. If you want to try to use both, you can. Or, do some with one and others with another.
The rest is up to you. Make as many or as few palettes or patterns as you like. Find inspiration in whatever comes to mind from people and history to food and landscape...whatever you'd like. Just remember to tick the "Location Location Location" box before you publish and tag your creations with "Lx3"...but most importantly, have fun! And feel free to show off your creations below! :)
And, if you have any suggestions for locations for upcoming challenges, please feel free to post them here in the topic suggestions thread.
Happy New Year to all of you and thank you for participating! More fun stuff to come in 2009! :)

I would like to leave a personal note here, if I may:
Since real life seems to be making more demands on my time lately, I've decided to take a semi-sabbatical from the Lx3 challenges for a while. I would like to stretch my CL wings in some new directions in 2009: participate in some other group challenges, study the creations of more new and old COLOURlovers, explore the wonderful CL blog post articles, and return to some of my old favorite sources of color inspiration like antique art, old books, kimonos and other fabrics, animals, nature, geology, astronomy, music, etc. Ah...so many interests, so little time!
The Lx3 group challenges have definitely been my happiest, most educational, and most creatively productive experiences at CL. Kudos to Caff for her outstanding work with this group, and a big "THANKS!" to all of you for your color inspirations, creativity, and support of my work. Although this may sound like one, it is not an "Adios" or "Goodbye", but more like an "Hasta más adelante" or "Until later". I am sure I will rejoin you on some of your Lx3 virtual world tours with a palette or pattern now and then, as time permits and as the creative muses inspire.
