A collection of animated gifs made by me - cstallions.
These gifs are derived from COLOURLovers palettes and patterns made by others and myself :)
You may take these gifs and use them as you like I only ask that you give credit to the respective people involved with that particular gif :)
Feel free to hang out and comment!
Cheers ( ^___^)b
-I noticed that the speed of the gifs reduces a lot when viewed in Internet explorer and Google chrome. I made them with Firefox in mind. So best viewed in Firefox!

Welcome to In Motion
Hope you have fun in my little group...
I try not to be a person bound by rules and guidelines as such so I have a few requests for the members who become a part of my private space here at CL :) -
Thank you and enjoy your stay :)

I get a lot of queries like "how did you do that!!!???" It's not a closely guarded secret that can't be shared :) Here's some basic information :
Wikipedia definition: An animated .gif file comprises of a number of images or frames to be displayed successively.
Software used: Adobe ImageReady
A quick tutorial: How to create an Animated gif
How I pick a COLOURLovers pattern:
I try to be unique every time. Generally I keep an eye out for a pattern I haven't animated yet(out of the 115 CL patterns). But if there's an interpretation of a pattern that is striking and I can't resist the temptation I'll grab 'n run with it :D
Choosing the effect Part 1:
The pattern chosen (the pattern's style and tilte) and the colors would to some extent dictate the effect of the animated gif - examples would be "Is There Anybody Comfortably Numb" and "Echos of the Night". In "Echos of the Night" I'm just transitioning between different sets of colors for the same pattern. In "Is There Anybody Comfortably Numb" I did the opposite I transition between 2 different patterns keeping the same colors .
Choosing the effect Part 2:
Timing. Trying to decide the rhythm of the animated gif. Without a pace, without a certain rhythm an animation is like a life without purpose :P Its one of the most important things to keep in mind to get the desired effect I'm looking for in a particular gif. For example you can see how "Idealistic Quest" and " My Heart's Trapped in the Old Photographs" vary in timing thus giving totally different effects even though they have the same base pattern and transitioning between 2 different sets of colors :)
I hope this answers some of the questions that arise when you see these animations. If there are any further queries you can ask them in this thread and I'l try to answer as best as I can :)
