"The Beader's Color Mixing Directory" by Sandra Wallace
ISBN - 0-89689-480-0
--- This book has some interesting designs and she breaks down the colour scheme for each piece using a colour bar so that you can see the proportion of each colour used.
"The Color Book of Beaded Jewelry" by Genevieve Sterbenz
ISBN - 978-1-58011-348-9
--- This one is broken down by color sections and has some great simple designs that are really elegant. The jewellery is also beautifully photographed.
"The Beader's Color Palette" by Margie Deeb
ISBN - 0-8230-0474-0
--- I like this book a lot. Margie's specialty is working with colour and beads and this book lays out palettes and pieces exquisitely. She breaks down the sections by The Elements, Artists' Historical Palettes, Cultures of Our World, This Gorgeous Planet and Living Color. Each section is rich with examples and colour palettes that she lays out in a unique way.
Another invaluable resource I use for my work with stones is:
"Crystals" by Jennie Harding
ISBN - 1-60061-041-2
--- She organizes the stones by colour ray (of light) and gives you info on the stone, history of its use and its healing properties. There is a colour picture of each stone and a chart that includes info on location, how rare it is, its hardness, the form and structure of the minerals, etc. I'm always going into this book for something.
If you know of or use other resources, please share. I'm always looking for ideas! (:
