I'm including Winter Solstice and Yule (also known as Yuletide or Midwinter) together in this thread because they share so many cross-references and similar history, celebrations, decorations, feasting, etc. (The winter solstice we're referring to here is of the northern hemisphere.)
Winter Solstice @Wikipedia (includes overview of many "festival of lights" solstice observations) Many celbrations of the Winter Solstice Brief history of solstice celebrations Yule @Wikipedia Wiccan Yule Lore Yule Origins, Lore, Legends When making palettes for Winter Solstice or Yule, be sure to add a keyword "solstice" (or "wintersolstice") or "yule" or both. Additional keywords that might be applicable include: druid, celtic, pagan, wiccan, norse, christmas
Share your Yule and/or Winter Solstice palette/pattern badges here, if you like. :) ![]()
