Hello Everybody!
(I've send this also as broadcast-message) I've noticed that we have gotten quite a generous definition of what glows in the dark and what doesn't. I've seen lots of palettes in the group which I wouldn't expect there at all. I understand that we won't be able to find some real definition of glowing palettes (and finally that's okay, because luckily we all have different tastes and points of view), but although I would ask you to think over your palettes you've added to the group. In my oppinion not every harder contrast between two colors makes a palette glow, not every bright color, not every green, yellow or aqua glows. There are several groups for this that might interest you: - Cheer up! "Somewhere to appreciate the brighter colour palettes out there. Bright, cheery, happy and even garish. Cheer up!" - Ouch! "Eyeburning Colors, unbelievable color shocks... No vanilla ice cream or pastell palettes - for this group you'll need a sturdy smack. So: Bad taste or Eyecatcher?" - Teal "Teal rocks!" - multi-colored "palettes with many colors. (not for palettes with different shades of one color) As a general rule, palettes should use at least 3 different colors." - Sour Yellows "A group for lovers of Greenish Yellows and Yellowish Greens." There is a thread where you can see which colors I find to be "Glowing": some glowing colors and palettes I found If you have questions, please ask. If you want to start a discussion about this theme here I would be pleased. Thanks for listening and keep on loving colors! Stefan ![]() ![]() ![]() retsof retsof wrote: 26 Nov, 2007
Interesting...but still confusing if I think about it. If it's dark and the color is not lit or luminous, it's not glowing. If the color is glowing, it could be either light or dark outside. LIghtning bugs glow, but are only one color at one place from one species, usually.
My 3-color neon beer sign is bright enough to glow at any time. ![]()
