Double Blends

I started with previous ice cream colors. The effect is very similar to the other one above.

Here's my go:


I've made palettes that blend like this accidentally. It's tricky when you try to do it on purpose. I think it would have worked better if I hadn't chosen a blue, sort of randomly, for the fifth color. The fourth color 'blends' the third and fifth by virtue of being the exact value as the red, only in the blue spectrum.

I did this one before I found about handy-dandy blender tools (thanks, lesaint!), the tedious old-fashioned way: eyeballing. -- so it's not perfect, but it's still pretty good, if I say so myself...

Draw a PICTURE of a palette with your pastel chalk, scan it, and post it then.

Hey Dia, rate yourself as a computer person on a scale of 0 to F! That eyeball blend was very close to what the blender could do. Save yourself some time and eyeball us some more.

Added on 24 August, 2007 That was only a couple of days ago. I was wondering how it went.

I let the computer look at it. It likes lilac.

Well, I made this one the other day and I suppose it fits. The blends are a little darker and less blue than thay should be, but not bad considering I wasn't aiming exactly for the double blend.
