Colour Lovers Challenge

Welcome to the suggestion box.
Sometimes we all hit a slump where we just can't think up anything. For times like those I am going to depend on you guys to give me suggestions for future challenges. If you have any comments or suggestions for the group as a whole feel free to share your opinion with me.

So if you ever have an idea for a challenge you would like to see or the group itself please feel free to leave a comment here or send me a love note. =)

I will be updating this list as suggestions come in, and deleting post upon reading them. This is to make the sorting through this page easier on myself and keep the suggestions more organized.

I'm not sure that this is the right thread for this, but I might as well put it here, since I don't want to create a new thread just for a gripe...

I really, really dislike the Letter challenges - not because it's a bad idea, because it's not, but because CL makes it so damn hard to search for colours by name. If the search functions worked easily, I would be all for it, but they don't, and frankly, that kind of hamstrings the fun of this challenge. It's less about "I need to find the right reddish-brown B!" and more about "Oh my god, how do these search results correlate AT ALL to my query?"

I do like the idea of a constrained pool of colours from which we may draw, though; to that end, why not, instead of limiting to title names, limit by colour values? E.g., "You may only use colours with hues between 100 and 200" or "Saturation between 15-35 and 75-90". That's much more user-friendly, I think, but also keeps intact the soul of the challenge.

Also, I LOVE the "Dedication", "First Love", and "80's Movie" challenge suggestions; I haven't been here that long, so I don't know if they've been done before, but if no one is against it, I would love to see those introduced/resurrected. ^_^

Here is a tip colors are much more easy to search with in copaso. Example you can search bla and words that begin with bla will show up. Makes it much easier for searching and you can search by all or specific users.

2. What you had for breakfast (or lunch, dinner, etc.)
3. Your favorite outfit (This would be most fun if people post pictures!)
4. The weather where you are today
5. Palettes based on another ColourLover

Art- Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Impressionists, Greek,etc. Gemstones- precious, semi-precious, minerals. Inspirational colors, Inspirational artists, feelings. I am not sure if I even know what I am talking about, beings I am SO new to the group. Would someone be willing to explain to me just how the challenges work ?, please ? I would be everso grateful!, Thank You,and, I look forward to "playing" with you all (Y'all)

I would like to suggest:

I think all of the suggestions above could be fun, especially things like superheroes and 80s movies. Here are a few from me:

* Favorite cake
* Favorite pie
* Favorite ice cream
* Favorite source of caffeine
* Where do you want to visit most in the world?
* Your hobbies
* Your best friend
* A favorite artist (digital, traditional painting, architect, etc)
* A childhood experience

Also as I don't see a "winner" selected from the challenges I assume the past topics are still open to encourage creativity?

Big surprise coming from me I know...lol...but what about something sport-themed? Maybe all of the colours have to be related to sports somehow, plus you could include one of these:

How about school colors or favorite college colors?

Local television station graphics?
