When it comes to art, I have a soft spot for things in multiples. A diptych. A triptych. A whole piece that is comprised of several parts. Repetition has always been one of my favorite themes in art, too. Repetition of themes, shapes, colors, etc.
This month I hope you can be inspired by multiples, too. It doesn't mean you have to make multiple palettes, but that's certainly an option. Show me something inspired by multiples or repetition!
In honor of the theme, I'll be choosing three winners!
And if I'm lucky enough to have some extra cash flow this time, I'll be doling out some prizes. :)

Phew, that was a piece of work! The original idea was to create a sudoku (the multiple theme) with colours instead of numbers, but colouring the numbers 1-9 with a rainbow spectrum... didn't look very pretty. So instead I used the HEX numbers, for example, DE292[2] representing the number two. Sadly the difference in shade is barely visible (unless you stare hard at the screen enough), so making it a feasible doable sudoku puzzle seems to be out of the question. >_<"
But yes, it took 19 palettes, 12 colours, and a bucketload of patience. I may retry this concept someday. :3
(P.S. But really the sudoku can be solved, and you'll understand why it fits the multiple theme. *wink*)
The palette above is repeated throughout the picture too.

3D space to RGB
I took the JS3D library and translated x,y,z coordinates into RGB values. The algorithm could be tweaked to HSV or stretched to different proportions. So in brief, I turned this lovely thing into this colorful thing. A quick way to play around w/the possibilities is to click "dodecahedron" and mouse over the model until you like the palette, then get your mouse around to the "save palette" link... or hit accesskey-p if your browser supports accesskeys.
I made a symmetrical pyramid b/c of its 5 vertices (for 5 colors) and 4 repeating top faces, then moved it around 'til I got this. Was fun!

I have to admit I have close to no clue about what you're talking about... but damn, that thing you made there is so full of win.
...I'm still at a loss for words.
That's what I got by playing with your thingy. :D Awesome stuff! It's not an entry; consider it a tribute instead. C:

So... thank you to both of you who participated in the May contest. You're both awesome and you both win! If only I had money for prizes. :(
