Monthly contests! Winners will receive a variety of prizes like a 1-year CL sponsored membership, homemade gourmet pastry treats (perhaps inspired by the winning palette), etc. Join the fun, take up a challenge, and win cool stuff.

Your challenge this month is to make a palette dealing with spirits and/or the spirit realm. This does NOT have to be "halloweeny" (but it certainly can be, it's up to you). It can be whatever spirituality means to you. It can be humorous or it can be very deep. Make it sincere. Make it inspired. Make it spiritual.
Entries will be judged based on overall flow of the colors in the palette, as well as the thought given to the color names. Though I am the only judge and therefore this is based mostly on my own personal preference, I hope you will make palettes that are meaningful to you, whether or not I like them.
For this first contest, I'll keep it simple and allow only one entry per person. Please add your palette to this group and post it in this thread. Entries must be received before November 1.
First prize: a 1-year sponsored membership to COLOURlovers.
Additional prizes: to be determined.
(in the event that the winner already has a sponsored membership, we'll work something else out.)

I chose to listen to the good spirits over the evil ones. And, though not religious, I felt this name was perfect. I particularly like how some of the colors look like gradients themselves :)

Yes, you have to create new ones. They must be made during the month of the contest. I put it on the main rules page, but I guess I should list it in this particular contest's rules too. Sorry, gibbygirl. :(

Are you not allowed to use other people's colors? What if other people's color names have no relevance to the palette submitted?
heykelley
Sure, you can use other people's colors, but using ones with names that fit the theme of the palette is a plus, in my book.
