And the pattern I mean is ...

I wanted to suggest to another CLer that a palette would look great in a particular pattern, but guess what? That's hard to do! I finally resorted to calling the pattern Whimsical / Column 1 / Row 3, which is a real mouthful.

But wouldn't it be great if each palette had a name? The person who created the pattern gets the honor of naming it. (For the patterns acquired from non-CL members, maybe Darius and crew could provide the names.)

Gotta run -- I'm off to create a pattern using Rococo Wallpaper (and I bet you know which one I mean).

Great suggestion.

The patterns have ID numbers (for example plaids are #1 and #2) but you can't see these on Create New.

I suppose we could make an unofficial list of names.

I call the two I made: bubblepattern and the other one is lildots.

Hey Liddle_r
Do you mind sharing HOW you created those patterns? I mean - what formats you sent them in, how you seperated the colours etc?

Hi Klip,

I did do that somewhere in these discussions. Not sure where that is though.

I created my patterns in Flash. I can't remember if I sent them an .fla or a .swf. I think I sent .swf.

However, I know Darius/Chris wanted them in .svg format. But, I wasn't able to do that at the time. Not sure if there is an export as .vg plugin yet for Flash or not. I think there is one for illustrator.

I used 5 greys for the different elements to seperate the colors. I had them on seperate layers but since I think I sent an .swf they would have all combined onto one layer.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for or not!
