Is there a way to create a new pattern based specically on a palette or even a color I have created rather than bringing up a color picker when you click the color swatch next to the pattern sample? Currently it's tough/time consuming to create a patten. IMHO.

When you go to a palette there is a box of stats beside the palette and beneath that there is a box for down loading the palette and beneath that again is a box that says "create a pattern with this palette" I think this may be what you are looking for.
For the colour I would just copy and paste the hex code.

Ahh, i get it... I guess I would have thought that on the pattern creation screen you could load a palette, my mistake. Still, it might be a nice usabiliity enhancement for the site to make it a two way street.

I know that you can't make a pattern unless all colors already exist..
