Not sure if this is a bug, or something happening just to me (which isn't unheard of) but here goes:

I mostly access the internet on a somewhat iffy wireless connection. If I happen to be updating my bio when the connection goes out, I lose the whole bio. Not just the new update, but everything that was there before, including the fill-in-the-blanks stuff like location, age, etc.

This does not happen when I'm updating other pre-existing things, for example if I'm editing a description or comment, or changing an existing palette. In those cases, if my connection goes out in the middle of the update, my changes are lost, but the original thing is still there intact.

Would it be possible to make the bio section like the others -- i.e. if the connection goes out mid-update, the old stuff is still there? Alternatively, is it acceptable to create my entire bio on my regular web space and just use the CL bio area to include that external web page?

Hope you can find the cause of this -- I'd love to keep my bio section current, but right now I'm afraid to touch it!

(Using IE 7 with Windows XP, if that makes any difference)

The easiest way to prevent this from happening would be to edit everything you want to on your bio, then copy it all and paste it into notepad or some program like that. Then you can submit it and if you lose everything, you can copy it from notepad and paste into the bio form again. I hope that made sense.

J-man, it does make sense, and the same effect could also be accomplished by doing all my updating on a mirror page my own website and just "including" the text in my bio. However, since this "all text going away" problem does not happen universally on CL, I thought it might be a bug specific to the bio section, which is why I reported it.

I have just lost all my bio profile info... buaaaaaaaaaa!
Is there a way to improve this and prevent from happening (I mean from the system). I will also edit next time.

Now some things re appeared but cannot see my comments, nobody can't post neither comments or love notes, nobody can add me, cannot see my lovers, and MY 3 columns of palettes / colors :(

Please check the HTML in your bio. It is whats causing the errors.
