We're excited to announce that the Seamless Studio desktop app is super close to be launched to the public and right now our sponsored members are having first crack at testing things out.
We plan to have testers working with it for a week or so before releasing it publicly (assuming nothing blows up in the app :) ). If you want us to let you know exactly when it's released in the wild, you can sign up to be notified here:

If you notice patterns that can't possibly be designed with the web version of our tool popping up in the next week... You know where they're coming from! :)
We've been amazed at the quality of patterns that have been developed with the web version and are excited to see what you'll create when you have the ability to save your works in progress & your custom shapes.
To those awesome members who don't have a sponsored membership... we hope no harm is caused by early releasing the beta to sponsored members first. We still love you just as much as anyone else, but we need a limited number of testers to check things out before launching it live... And one of the perks they get for being so generous with us is the first look at some of the stuff we're working on.

The desktop version of Seamless will be a reasonably priced piece of software.
And as for the shady buy seamless link... Which link do you mean? What about it makes it shady?...
That obviously wasn't the design aesthetic we were going for :)

As long as you're not running a PowerPC, you should be just fine! Here's a pretty detailed overview of what's recommended/required:

hope you'll release it soon tho! :)

If you have a compatible operating system (anything but a PowerPC Mac, pretty much) and can run the web version of Seamless (http://www.colourlovers.com/seamless), your computer should be fine :)

(I have send this comment as mail too)
I have installed Seamless and I am testing it out.
It is far more stable than the Patternmaker and it looks very slick.
A first remark I have.
The colom were the layers are.. looks o.k. but when i want to highlight one layer or more layers at the same time,
It is hard to see if they are really selected,
Because you see only the darker tones of grey. I have to look twice sure with more layers hightlighted.
This does not pop out as being highlighted.
My suggestion is.. to be one with the design.. highlights in Lightgrey.
Other suggestings.. Signal Red, or Marker Yellow.. etc
Anything that pops out more.
Thank you
