Hello all, just letting everyone in on some of the April updates thus far ...

Pattern Maker
The pattern maker was re-written from the ground up to address multiple issues and seems to be going strong.

API Updates:
Two new features have been added to the API: a keywordExact parameter has been added to tell the API to treat the keywords parameter as a literal string [no fuzzy searches], and a random switch has also been added to Color, Palette and Pattern calls. See the documentation for more info.

Exact Searches
In addition to adding the keywordExact parameter to the API the Color, Palette and Pattern search pages also allow exact searches. All you have to do is wrap the keyword around some quotes [both single and double quotes will work].

Top Lovers
For those of you who are sponsored, the top lovers feature has been fixed and no longer "hides" anyone on the top row and also only shows your top 5 lovers on the first page on your profile.

GIMP Export Format
Linux users rejoice! We have updated our Palette and Pattern export section to include the open source gpl format.

ASE Export PHP Script
Our ASE PHP export script has been updated to allow all 16,777,216 possible hex values in the RGB spectrum [was 256 :-X]. Click here to view the source.

About 1000 bug fixes no one should ever see :-)

Thanks for adding the Gimp format exports, Gimp users everywhere will love you. Oh wait, I'm a gimp user. :D

So Colourlovers is written in php? Cause I see you have a ASE export script written in php.. Heh.

One thought though - should the total possible RGB colors be 256³ rather than 255³ because we use 0?

Yes, sir. A common LAMP stack with a few add ons [Memcached, APC].
