Hey guys,

So right now I am trying to decide what colours to use for my dorm room. I have two exposed brick walls and a nice golden brown hardwood floor. The pieces of furniture are dark browns (dresser, TV unit), black (shelves, sitting chair, frames, most office stuff) and a glass desk.

For other inspiration, I love Germany. I travelled there last year and I fell in love with the country. I was considering an obvious black-red-yellow theme but I don't have much of an eye for colour.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I'd recommend going for something light to offset the darkness of the furniture and the exposed brick walls. Too many dark colours in your room will make it seem a lot smaller and more cramped, and as a student room I'm sure it's small as it is! :)

Then you could use red as your accent colour! Cushions, lampshades, etc.

That looks awesome :) It's between your scheme and this scheme I just found literally 10 seconds ago. The floors, furniture and brick wall in this pic is just like mine! But I might do the beige colour for the wall instead of the smoky grey they have.

Thanks for the help!

My sincerest apologies for not posting this in the proper place but the "bugs" thread is not letting me post.

For some reason a whole heap of stuff doesn't seem to be working properly. Noone's palettes/patterns are showing up on their profiles, just the bio and recent comments, I can't edit anything and none of the drop down menus are working.

Is this happening to anyone else or is it just me?

I just love this. The peachy colours look so calming and serene and then there's the grey and the turquoise which gives off a 50's feel (which I just love on its own). It's a perfect colour palette for this summer.
