Need color help

I just found this website...wow! I want to re-paint our bedroom, it's small...12' x 12'...oatmeal colored carpet....two windows...one window gets morning sun, the other window gets no sun. For the walls, I want a tranquil, peaceful, comfy color yet light. Haven't got a clue about colors for the trim or ceiling either. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hello Janice, here is my suggestion for light but peaceful place from left>
1. I think this might be "oatmeal" carpet you have now.
2. and 3. colours for your walls. Light green is refreshing and joyful and will help you wake up refreshed and at the same time will not disturb you before sleep and while sleeping. There are two shades because screen looks allways lighter than wall paint.
4. ceiling paint - neutral, and light warm beige
5. trims I don't know what trims you have there, but this could be accessories or frames colour as well.

Many people associate ocean and grasses with calm, so blue, green, beige good choices. Here are some suggestions along those lines:
Is your "oatmeal" carpet more gray or more yellow? That might affect your choices.

Hello Balibina:
These are beautiful choices. Thank you for taking the time, I am very grateful. I hate to sound...hmmm...dumb....but how would you use the different palettes? Such as which color for the walls, trim, etc. In answering your question, the carpet is more gray to me. This is exciting stuff here...I'm getting all fired up about painting the bedroom thanks to you folks!!!!!!!
