I have began designing a website for a college, their school colors are green (#055830) and gold (#FDBE2F). I will attach a screen shot of what I have right now. I am looking to figure out what would be the best color for the body background, which runs from sub header to footer. right now, its a tannish color. What would be the best color for that?

I think what you've got is pretty classy as-is and won't distract from the content. ![]() ![]() bradkenyo… bradkenyon wrote: 1 Month Ago
do you feel the tan background will clash w/ the green & gold?

I like how it looks. If I may, I'll comment on the design a little bit. I like it overall, but I would suggest removing the bottom part of the shadow and running the white all the way down to the footer. Or something like that. It's a tad distracting as it is. Or change it somehow.. I dunno, the shadow around the bottom just doesn't work for me. ![]() ![]() ![]() pi pi wrote: 1 Month Ago
first, i like the colours you've used here,
second, i have to agree with J-man, that bottom shadow thing looks a little bit out of place to me too. maybe if you had the similar thing around the top of the main content area it would be balanced somehow? but i would say just get rid of it and make that vertical line go all the way to the footer. ![]()
