Summer colors for forum redesign

Hi there! I've been recently appointed as a new graphics moderator at a forum and my next assignment is to design a new layout - the actual graphics I'll probably figure out later, but first things first involves a color scheme.

I've been looking around for palettes (mostly literally typing in summer and scrolling through :x) and have some favorites, but the feedback hasn't been unanimous/there are concerns about how bright certain colors are and how it would actually look in a forum. Thanks for taking time out to read this!

Here's some of what I've been looking at:

F*ck Yes! Ocean Five
Summer Night Makeout Spring Rain

So the question is whether or not you guys have some suggestions as to favorite summer-esque palettes? Our last layout was a pinkish peach and brown kind of theme and our current one is entirely blue so I'm trying to figure out a new scheme preferably without using the colors we've done before.

I really like Ocean Five by DESIGNJUNKEE! I feel like it is summery but not too bright. I think it would work for a site beautifully, to help it you should pull tints from a couple of the colors and use the brighter colors as accents.

maybe something like these
Ocean 2.5
or maybe a little muted
Ocean 4.0
Hope this helped
I think all the palettes you chose would work great though, I personally think bright colors work as long as they are not big blocks of color, unless its a style.
haha listen to me ramble...

good luck

I second Ocean Five, good colours to work with on a forum and I'll also put a bid in for Summer Dream.

Like liddle_r, I'd love to know what you go for in the end. :)

not really bright, but very popular:
summer tree fairy
and here's a really light one:
summer linens
and this is my favourite summer place:
hilton head
and this:
ocean kitchen

...and i agree with Ocean Five. That's such a nice palette.
