a lot of my palettes are based on memories

share some palettes, share some stories!

outside spokane

a couple years ago the drama club took a trip to a theater arts festival in spokane (INTAF :* )
it probably ranks as one of the weirdest experiences of my life and if you know any theater kids you might understand why.

anyway, on the way home we were all piled into this stupid minivan. We were just outside spokane and there were these huge low clouds all around us. The sun was shining through them, but just barely. As we moved, and the clouds moved it would come in and out of view. The land was fairly flat. The boy I fancied had put in the decemberists and at the time I had never heard them before.

I fell asleep on top of the speaker.

anyway that was longer than I intended! I want to hear yours now please!

well, yes, memories inspire me for sure.

didin't expect to be reminded of "home"

I grew up outside of spokane. It is deceptive. It looks flat but isn't really very flat. of course, not mountains either.

Anyway, it is gorgeous over there.

Usually after an experience I make many palettes that represent and reflect the experience. After a safari I went to in South Africa, I made many safari related palettes. Like, The 5th Leopard and Safari Sunset.

On an everyday basis, most palettes I make reflect something that relates to me. Like the Mosman Ferry I took to a friends house or a girl I met who looked like an Oompa Loompa.

So, ya. Most things I make and name on this site relate to me! It is just not always easy to see how.

totally, many of my palettes are based on memories, especially from childhood, stuff like smells (rain, perfumes, wet earth, food), melodies, situations, etc. immediately come up to my mind when I see some colours! ... I am pasting a few, see the stories in the palettes (@ descriptions).

(arroz con leche)I miss old polaroids* s p l a s h ! *

This two palettes were about things that freak me out when I was a kid... clowns (OMG, I hate clowns!) and the story "Alice in Wonderland" and the freakin' rabbit!

I have many things about the past! :)
