For nearly a month, now, I've been running theWiktionary Word of the Day through the Transmonster and uploading the resulting palettes (same order, without width alteration). Many of them are (at least in my eyes) odd, unbalanced or clashing. However, several have been surprisingly beautiful:

Actually, I find the version with a capital S as in the original German even more cool :p

schadenfreude = a malicious enjoyment derived from observing someone else's misfortune.

I had not heard that noun before, but I've added it to my list of arcane words for enlivening and adding mystery to conversations. Schadenfreude is not my favorite human trait, but the palette it created is pretty.
