What colorful things do you collect?

I've bought many things just because of the color. But there are some things I have ridiculous amounts of because I become so obsessed with having every color in.

crayons - I looooove crayons!!!! I actually bought the biggest box of Crayola crayons I could find a few years ago, mainly to just organize them by color & stare at them.

Sharpies - I bought the 36 pack of them. They just sat in my desk drawer for a long time because I didn't have a use for them. Now that I have an office job, I brought them all in so I can have an excuse to use them :D

Prismacolor pencils - Once again, loooove!!! I work at a university & get a discount at their bookstore, which just happens to carry tons of Prismacolors that are sold individually. I've bought about 20 so far, in addition to the 24 pack I already had & others I had bought individually before.

beads - My latest obsession. Specifically seed beads & delica beads. They come in little tubes & are organized by color. I just started taking a bead weaving class a few weeks ago & want even more bead colors :D

I collect colorful hosiery.
Of course, I wear them too. I loooove them. (:
From red tights, to neon orange fishnets, to yellow-lime thigh-his, I collect them all.
Ha.
Uhh.
I love sharpies and crayons, too. :]
And makeup! I have all sorts of hues. Pink eyeliner, blue eyeshadow, green eyeliner, yellow eyeshadow, on and on. Haha. :D

Beads, pens, markers, makeup, t-shirts. I used to collect nail polish when I was in school, I used to paint my nails a different color every week. I had to give that up when I moved out to the country. Our water here dries out my skin & nails, making them brittle.

I also love it when a litter of bunnies is born and each one is a different color, it's so much fun!

Oh yeah, I forgot makeup & nail polish! I have way too many eyeshadows & lipsticks. I never even wear lipstick. lol And pens! I don't know how I forgot those. I love gel pens, especially the gelly roll ones :D

bunigrl33 - that's cool! I didn't know that one litter could be all different colors. I love bunnies. I miss mine :(

I am currently in search for every colour tights I can get my hands on. So far, not so good. Only have a beautiful teal pair. Though wear them every chance I get.

I don't really collect anything, but if something I want to buy is in some wild colour, I usually end up buying it. Like books. The clean new feeling. I also really only like reading books that have an artsy cover. Ooo, I have tons of stationary. In all sorts of colours and patterns. That is probably my weakness.

embroidery threads. I had to start paying attention to their number codes as I kept coming home with what I though was a new fabulous colour and then finding that I already have several spools of that :p

I'll try and post a picture of my collection its very pretty.

Also, 10 cm x 100cm strips of raw silk and other lovely solid colour fabric. I use them to make things, but mostly they sit in a box on my table and I perv over them.

I remember embroidery floss, back when making friendship bracelets was all the rage. My girlfriends & I walked around with half-finished bracelets pinned to our knees so we could work on them whenever we sat down. I still have a ton of it.

We have a new person buying office supplies for my company. For the longest time post-its were only available in yellow and copy paper was only stocked in white and pastel green. Now I'm seeing more variety available and trips to the supply room are becoming more fun. :)

When I decided to re-organize my file cabinet at home I bought a package of folders in navy, turquoise, purple, burgundy & silver-gray.

I've got a large collection of hair accessories too in an array of colors.

Oh My... Now there's a question !, I have collected so many things over the years that I have actually had to pass some collections over to my daughter ( Thank God she likes nearly everything that I do!). I have collected Pens (all, from Quill to rapidograph, the gel pens are so cool too !), watercolors (paints and pencils) , old and new unique perfume bottles, and other glassware; carnival glass, stoneware, vases, pressed,silk and dried flowers, Beads ( I have cut back to only very unique and/ or antique). Hatboxes, ( I have them stacked in columns), and hats, purses, Garden and art books, and (of all things) , ....paper, feathers, and prisms, plus assorted "knick- knacks" that happen to grab my attention. Now that I have seen bunigrl33's baby bunnies, that may be ahead in the future ! ; }

crayons, pens, pencils, sharpies, paper, ribbons, beads, buttons, ink pads, chalks, marbles of course, and more recently postcards

I've a bad habit of wanting to buy things just because they come in sets of pretty colours, it could be the most useless tat in the world and I would be tempted - like this morning when I was buying sandwiches for my lunch on the way into work I spotted a row of clear plastic lighters lined up red, yellow, green, blue, purple and found myself being drawn to them, I don't even smoke - never have and no intention of starting but those lighters looked really pretty :)

I collect a lot of colourful things! Some are repeats from ones already listed (and for those things I'm glad that I'm not the only one! lol!).

- The thing I most love collecting is paint samples from hardware stores, LOL! I call them paint samples, I don't know what they're really called, paint chips maybe. Anyways, they're the pretty little squares of colour you get when picking a paint colour. I have tonsssss of them. Seeing one of those displays makes me crazy!
- Sharpies. I have absolutely no use for them, but the colours are so pretty!
- Crayons and pencil crayons. I must have thousands. I just keep buying more!
- Solid-coloured t-shirts and tank tops. I'm a layering fiend, always putting together colours in different ways. I have a ridiculous number of t-shirts from American Apparel, obviously for the colours :)
- Socks. Yes, I have gotten a formal warning at work for my "unprofessional" colourful socks.
- Liquitex acrylics. Yes I could mix the colours myself but when I go in a store and see the colour display I just want them all!
- Art postcards. The rule, of course, is that I can't have the postcard unless I've seen the work in person.
- Hi-lighters. The only way to make my notes at the office any fun.

etc etc I could go on! It's kind of sad, really, when you lay it all out in a list like that...when I think of all the money I must have spent on that stuff over the years! Whoa.

I have a box full of Sharpies.... I need more colors, but I have a good amount. I use them to color in pictures in newspapers, magazines, junk mail, etc. When I was in middle school I had an enormous collection of ink-gel roller pens that I used to call "Milky pens" after that brand got popular. They've all run out since then ;P

I buy brightly-colored and patterned miniskirts. I like to wear high contrast outfits (usually with black as the darker tone). I hung up spin-art in my studio in NY. My boyfriend and I used to cut out brightly-colored figures and objects from magazine ads and such and made them into collages on cork boards.....

...This makes me want to take out my Sharpies right now.
